Make management of your portfolio easier and safer, with quicker and more streamlined settlement

An account where shares are held by your broker on your behalf, effectively a custody account for shares.

Fyshe Horton Finney Ltd provides a free nominee holding service (through its non-trading ‘bare-trustee’ company, FHF Nominees Ltd) to all its clients. A nominee account, effectively a custody account for shares, makes management of your portfolio easier and safer.

Holding stock in a nominee account allows you to take advantage of keener pricing and shortened settlement periods. We are also able to offer lower dealing charges for those clients who deal through their nominee account. On top of this you will no longer have to hold paper certificates which can be easily lost or damaged and are potentially very expensive to replace. At all times your shares are held for your beneficial entitlement.

When you open a nominee account you also become eligible to use our dividend management service. We will collect your dividends on your behalf and either hold them in a deposit account or, should the balance exceed £50, pay them out to you on a monthly basis.

Following the end of the tax year, nominee clients are provided with a consolidated tax certificate incorporating details of all dividends received during the preceding year. For managed clients, this is also accompanied by a schedule of capital gains established within the previous year, which gives full allowance for indexation and tapering relief when this becomes applicable.

For those who prefer to be more hands on with their investments we can provide access to a CREST Sponsored account. This comes at a premium, but will provide you with a more involved investment experience. For more information please contact us.
