During the post war period the Birmingham Stock Exchange was the most active provincial stock exchange for new issues. During that time Fyshe & Horton were responsible for bringing more companies to the market than any other firm.
Dennis Duckitt, a Senior Partner in F H Finney & Co., chaired the Birmingham Stock Exchange New Issues Committee during the 1960’s. He later went on to be the founding chairman of the Midlands & Western Stock Exchange and chairman of the Birmingham Stock Exchange and in 1983 was made its life president.
In 1993, the partners and staff of the long established business of Griffiths & Lamb joined Fyshe Horton Finney Ltd. Over time the firm has steadily expanded its presence around the country and now has offices from London to Inverness. The range of financial products offered, has been developed to include modern financial instruments such as Traded Options, Contracts for Difference, Exchange Traded Funds and FX products.
New financial products, developing technology, and the introduction of a regulatory regime have transformed the financial services business into one that would be largely unrecognisable to anyone practicing in Queen Victoria’s reign. However, the same basic principles of the market apply and have remained unchanged. At Fyshe Horton Finney Ltd we believe that providing well informed, impartial and independent advice is as important today as it has ever been.
