Warrant (corporate)
A security that gives the owner the right to subscribe for the shares in a company at an agreed price. They are not entitled to receive dividends or vote at company meetings. Issued directly by companies they are not to be confused with Covered Warrants (derivatives).

Withholding Tax
A tax which is deducted at source by an issuer or its paying agent at the time of paying out dividends and interest. If there is a double taxation agreement between the country in which the income is paid and the country in which the recipient is resident, the tax can be reclaimed.

The seller of an option contract who is obliged to deliver or take delivery of the underlying instrument upon notification by the buyer (holder).
